Practice makes perfect.....post on....
One of the students in VRWCboy’s graduating class had a first name of “Shatara”. What were her parents thinking? Tagging her with a name that would inevitibly be shortened to the past tense of a vulgar excratory term?
At VRWCboys college commencement where he graduated from the Honors College Magna Cum Laude with High Honors (I know that sounds redundant but it actually is two separate recognitions) the speaker was a Texas State Senator with an A++ rating from the Texas Right to Life Committee and an A+ rating from the NRA. He kept his comments brief and encouraging.
xsboy graduated with academic honors, but more importantly, he has a job offer in hand and several requests for interviews ongoing. Lots of the SU grads, bedecked with ribbons and tassels, are jobless. Not the IT school grads, though.
thank you. it was just something to be gotten through. we figured it would be bad considering who was speaking, but like i said, i think other leftists would have been far less offensive.
read a Guardian article about a retired NFL player, Derrick Ward, made no bones about his disapproval and said “everyone who comments on my page saying what dude did was fine is getting blocked.” Glad someone has the b@lls to say so.
That is great. VRWCboy doesn’t have offers yet, but he has interviews scheduled from schools that specifically asked him to apply for the positions.
I have to say I felt a little bad for the students whose names were called right after the students with all the accolades.
Mary Elizabeth Gallagher graduates with honors, magna cum laude, winner of blah blah award, nominated for blah blah, winner of blah blah award.”
Then:
Susan W Smith
he got a degree in music? so is it teaching positions he is looking for?
UD did it that way, SU did not. They didn’t announce the academic honors, just those who got specific named awards. And at the actual commencement there was none of that.
It was hilarious, one of the other hockey moms was saying, when we were taking pic of the hockey boys after graduation, “why didn’t you guys come up with a sash to wear signifying the hockey team, like the sororities do” and i said “because they are not girls!” LOL!
His degree is in Music Education. So yes, he is looking for teaching positions. So far there is some interest from a couple of high schools — which would be his preference.
Stupid pig. At least she hasn’t been wearing those stupid boob-belt dreses as often lately
but his is black.
Yeah, what you said, congrats to XSBOY!!!
xsteen was accepted to Rollins and considered going there. Winter Park has a fantastic Lilly Pulitzer store almost right across the street from the College ; )
thank you!
Isn’t it time for xsboy to get a new one, too?
Where is his job offer?
NYC, remember? and he’s putting them off while he looks for something closer to home. he’s pretty sure he won’t take the NYC job. His lease isn’t up until next year, he got it right before sophomore year of college.
I suppose you think I know what “Lilly Pulitzer” is. But, remember, I didn’t wear any sashes when I graduated either. ;-)
The FJ Cruiser probably isn’t so practical in NYC.
