A new patent filed from 2012 by Microsoft has proven that the software company is hard at work on its own smart watch device. It appears Microsoft doesn't want to play second fiddle this time around. (Photo : United States Patent and Trademark Office)

Frankly,
I gave up watches decades ago. In between, if I wanted to know the time, I look at my phone. Have no need for body wear devices - I hate my glasses and if my eyes weren’t getting better each time as I age, I’d get that whatever laser stuff done.
The only add-on now I tolerate is a gun and holster. This smart watch? Not for me at all. Google glasses? Hell no.

Well that didn't take long.

The heart rate monitor part would be nice but changing bands? My watchband is gold, it goes with everything.

Are you suggesting the smartwatch has more “support” than the smartbra?

Yes, but will it be worth more than you paid for it in 20 years? More importantly, will it still work?

I can hear the conversation in the R&D department brainstorming meetings now. Well we screwed up royally with Windows 8 so what can we create next that will be a real winner? Seriously they need to get back to what they used to be fairly decent at which was creating Operating Systems. They can start with undoing the mess they created with W8.
My basic cell phone has a clock, calendar, stop watch, Alarm, camera, texting, a browser I can't see to use, music player, and can be uploaded and downloaded on my computer. Why would I need a Winders Watch? LOL Are they counting on almost MS cult fans who would by a number 2 wooden pencil if it had the MS logo on it?
