It’s official. Hollywood has run out of new ideas.

Hollywood themselves may have run out of ideas, but there’s thousands of great books that could be made into powerful, entertaining movies that would make a lot of money if talented screenwriters and directors were utilized.

For example, I’m reading Willa Cather’s “My Ántonia” right now, and both it and her “O Pioneer!” could be made into amazing movies. Likewise, I just finished reading Michael Lewis’s “Flash Boys”, which could be made into an awesome movie as well.

Would love to see some smart money found a new studio dedicated to making movies that tell a story. It really doesn’t matter what the story is or what it is about, just so long as the movie tells a great story.

I think “Hurt Locker” was the last movie I remember that told a story, and that was years ago, and I can’t remember the last movie before that that told a great story.

Hollywood has run out of new ideas. ----------------------- At first glance yes; real reason is anything wholesome or feel good w/out new age crap, gratuitous GD's, JC's, homosexual heros or gubm't worker heros or corporate villains, is just not made because of course, it just doesn't sell .

Not really. I am getting ready to go see “The Neighbors” at 1:20PM. I definitely know they have not done this movie before.
