Damon Tobias Exum was arrested on eight charges, including DUI and reckless driving.
A Georgia man is facing eight charges, including DUI and reckless driving, after he allegedly handed a police officer a beer instead of his driver's license during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Dunwoody officer Alvin Rodriguez reportedly pulled Damon Tobias Exum over after the 37-year-old struck the cop’s vehicle on I-285 westbound.
When Rodriguez approached Exum’s vehicle and asked for his driver’s license, the “heavily intoxicated” suspect handed him a beer, police spokesman Sgt. Fidel Espinoza told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Exum, who has been arrested for DUI in the past, was “totally unaware that he had collided with the officer’s patrol car,” Espinoza said.
Rodriguez was not injured during the crash.
“The driver was intoxicated and not making the best decisions,” Dunwoody officer Tim Fecht told the New York Daily News.
Just remember this yob is a deadly weapon when he is behind the driver’s wheel in a car. Nothing funny about it.....at least he didn’t kill anyone.... this time

Actually, the cops in our town were not busy, at all, it was just a “failure to recognize”. If the bottle was amber, and they saw it, you were in trouble . . .
I can see how one could mistake a beer for a driver’s license..... :/
But did he have a Marlboro hanging out of his mouth at the same time? Did he tell the Popo to ‘kiss my ass’? If not he loses major points. But I appreciate your scoring. :)
