Nature’s way is often sad to witness.
A friend of a friend died exactly like this back in 2011. He was only in his early 30s and it was extremely shocking.
You just never know when your time on this Earth is up.
Heck at this point I’d take plugs or even x42...
They are not dangerous unless you are mis-using them. For their intended purpose(s) - including the way they are used in some residential communities to get around - they are very safe.
My brother rolled a golf cart. The spray of clubs through the air was quite lovely, viewed from sitting in the cart behind him.
I understand the view in the cart was not quite so lovely.
A beer a hole makes for interesting play by the time you get near the end. Yeah, we were young.
We once had to borrow the tractor to pull a cart out of the lake at the same course. Not exactly a country club, more of a country boy recreation place.
Sorry to hear that. Was there alcohol involved?
Harvard Ill. or Harvard U?
Tim Conway used to have a skit about this in the 70’s on the Carol Burnette Show. The cart would tip over on it’s side and lie there helpless, like a tipped turtle or an Angel fish
Yes, unfortunately. He was horsing around on the cart while driving between holes and it flipped over on him.
I fell out of a speeding go-kart in a parking lot once, I survived intact
Hebron, Ill. is near Harvard, Ill. Just fyi, although I’m guessing you were joking.
Sometimes all it takes is that one freek impact to bruise the cantaloupe in just the right way. I remember when I was 7 and stealing a ride on the back of bread truck the driver saw me and started spedding, I jumped off an my friend ran up laughing “two flips and a summersault”! I survived but would never do it again.
Makes sense, they would have just added weight and slowed you down.

In related news, President Barack Obama has filed for hazardous duty pay, retroactive to January 20, 2009 ....
It wasn’t the fall that killed him, it was the sudden stop.
Musta had a bad “driver”!
... well, the way they were headed, they were about 4 miles from Oak Grove Golf Course if they headed west from there on Rt. 173. If this was part of a planned circuit starting out going north then east, cutting south to the scene of the accident, it would have amounted to about 10 miles or more. Dunno. They got into it somehow.
