Robert Heinlein pretty much covers it here. I’d say ‘act alone’ covers the tire thing...

Personally, I’m still working on ‘conn a ship’ and ‘die gallantly’. Haven’t mastered either of those yet. The rest is done.

Regarding the “pitch manure” listing, I recall reading about the time a reporter went out to Lawrence Welk’s farm to interview the famous bandleader. At that time, Welk was at the height of his popularity.

The reporter was told that Welk could not meet with him because he (Welk) was out back cleaning the stables. Upon reading that, my respect for Welk tripled.
