A private company said it had found what it believes is wreckage of a plane in the Bay of Bengal that should be investigated as potential debris from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, but the possibility was dismissed by search coordinators.
The Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC) managing the multinational search for the missing plane said it continued to believe that the plane came down in the southern Indian Ocean off Australia.
The Bay of Bengal is located between India and Myanmar, thousands of miles from the current search area. The wreckage was reported by Australian geophysical survey company GeoResonance....
The company said it had passed on the information to Malaysian Airlines and the Malaysian and Chinese embassies in Australia on March 31, and to the JACC on April 4.
"The company and its directors are surprised by the lack of response from the various authorities," GeoResonance said.
"This may be due to a lack of understanding of the company's technological capabilities, or the JACC is extremely busy, or the belief that the current search in the Southern Indian Ocean is the only plausible location of the wreckage."
The Australian-led search team said it was relying on information from satellite and other data to determine the missing aircraft's location and the location in the GeoResonance report was not within that search arc.
"The joint international team is satisfied that the final resting place of the missing aircraft is in the southerly portion of the search arc," it said.

NIH!
Yep....they didn’t think of it, so they don’t want to be embarrassed by outsiders.
My first thought too. I would imagine someone will have to send something there anyway, as the families will demand it.
In fairness, that was the point “null and void” made in post #2.
NIH = Not Invented Here
...which I simply expanded on, so as to explain.
Apparently the Malaysians are still considering it.
Since it is already pinpointed then how hard can it be for the Malaysians to hire a contractor to send a UAV down there to check it out???
Bay of Bengal is where India has Space Launch site, Missile and Anti-Ballastic Missile Interceptor test site.
Parts more likely from these tests
Only way to know for sure is to take a little look-see.
Its also the general location where a Muslim woman reported seeing what appeared to be a downed aircraft the night of the disappearance. At the time she was on a flight back to Malaysia and didn’t know about the missing plane.
Testimony of mulsim women is inadmissible under sharia...
Wasn’t that report from a woman looking out the window at over 30,000 ft and seeing the crashed plane? Sounds plausible
Let’s see if the Malaysians are willing to pay for a little look see.

IOW, ignored by the 100 percent unsuccessful search team.
At this point, what would be prudent to consider is....
Why would the ‘team’ NOT want to find the plane ?
Was there something in the cargo hold that all nations wanted destroyed ?
Was there something in the cargo hold that all nations wanted, and are secretly trying to find ?
What was in the cargo hold of that ship that had the two Navy Seals who supposedly died of a drug overdose ?
Was it on board the MH370 flight ?
‘They’ have been trying to direct the search from that area ever since it came out that that was the last direction shown on radar - first to the east, then when folks started looking toward the Bay of Bengal, new ‘evidence’ appeared showing it way to the south.
I think that woman saw that at about 2:00 in the afternoon which would have been 6 hours after the plane ran out of fuel and set down.
And at 30,000ft planes flying at 10,000ft often appear to be floating in the waters below.
But it’s still worth a look see —
c’mon Malaysia — pout up or shut up.

I don't see how they can avoid it politically.
Anonymous government source leaked photo . . . . more at 11:00 on CNN the Most Busted News Source.
I think what JACC are saying is that they trust the INMARSAT data and analyses.
And this sighting in the Bay of Bengal is not within the parameters of the INMARSAT 811 Arc and therefore not worth going after.
But no one is stopping the Malaysians — go for it.
