Hawk Harrelson is gawdawful. The only purpose he serves is to remind me why I don’t like the White Sux.

Marty Brennaman and Jeff Brantley do a very good job for the Reds.

Old time radio guys are usually better. They understand radio doesn’t have a picture to watch and want you to ‘see’ the action.

Younger guys are dreaming of TV jobs, or angling for syndicated sports talk shows. They want to be stars, so the game becomes secondary.

Then there are the jack-donkeys like Hawk...

Hawk Harrelson is gawdawful.
He's different and I like that, even though his "shtick" can get tiresome.
Too many announcers sound like they've been lobotomized eg, Colorado Rockies.
