Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell were both arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Saturday night, April 26, after an apparent domestic dispute, according to New Canaan Police.
A call to police about the incident at the couples New Canaan house was made about 8 p.m. Saturday night, police said. But details over what were not immediately released. New Canaan Police hold a weekly press briefing with local media late each Monday morning.
Simon and Brickell, who have been married for more than 20 years, have lived in New Canaan with their three children for years. New Canaan Police did not want to release their address. Neither of their names are listed in the town tax records; but their house is in the northern section of town.
They both were scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday morning at 10 a.m.

Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads. Who could possibly want to hear that song one more time? Aw, I love that song!

She comes back to tell me she’s gone
As if I didn’t know that
As if I didn’t know my own bed
As if I’d never noticed
The way she brushed her hair from her forehead
And she said losing love
Is like a window in your heart
Everybody sees you’re blown apart
Everybody sees the wind blow

For my money he is the greatest US-born songwriter ever.
He has put together some great bands, too. Steve Gadd’s drumming on 50 Ways and Late In the Evening are unforgettable.

Two friends and I used great subterfuge to con our way into a Paul Simon fundraising concert to benefit US Senator Bill Bradley.
It was after Graceland and was with the whole band he put together for the upcoming Rhythm of the Saints tour, though that record had not been released yet.
There's many details, including my friend having to pretend to be mentally handicapped, but suffice to say we had a private box for the show and didn't put a nickel into the Bradley campaign

They both got arrested, which could happen if she hit him and hurt her hand doing it.

Witnesses said that when he returned to bed after allegedly "washing his face," someone had "taken his place..."
Giving the "Boxer" a more literal meaning.

You have to put Dylan, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, George & Ira Gershwin, and Duke Ellington somewhere on that list.

I agree. In an age where poetry still mattered, Paul Simon would be regarded as probably the last great American poet.
Maya Angelou, well, she’s no Langston Hughes. Not by a long shot.
