Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell were both arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Saturday night, April 26, after an apparent domestic dispute, according to New Canaan Police.
A call to police about the incident at the couples New Canaan house was made about 8 p.m. Saturday night, police said. But details over what were not immediately released. New Canaan Police hold a weekly press briefing with local media late each Monday morning.
Simon and Brickell, who have been married for more than 20 years, have lived in New Canaan with their three children for years. New Canaan Police did not want to release their address. Neither of their names are listed in the town tax records; but their house is in the northern section of town.
They both were scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday morning at 10 a.m.

Still Crazy After All These Years
“Did she shoot him with a rubber band?”
Well, does he still qualify as a star?
Every 80’s song, every single one, is torture because every song has been played to death. Right now the radio at the office where I work is playing Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads. Who could possibly want to hear that song one more time? Then there’s those mumbling 90’s songs. Why did mumbling become the thing in the 90’s?
“Me and Edie Down By The Schoolyard”?
I’ll have two fried chickens and a coke!
Sounds to me like a bridge over troubled waters.
Yep, they could be talking about the deceased Illinois senator for all we know. I guess they are so used to dropping political affiliation for democrats, that they forget the identifiers for everybody now . . . except conservatives.
Well, there’s always Mrs. Robinson . . .
Well played all!

“From the article: “He is regarded as one of the greatest American songwriters of all time . . .”
Not the greatest. but when you layer the ‘Graceland’ album on top of his other works, certainly one of the greatest.”
For my money he is the greatest US-born songwriter ever. My girlfriend and I saw him at the Hard Rock in Florida a few years back and caught the tour with Sting and him a few months back. At his age he can still go for a couple of hours; he’s an amazing performer.
And unlike so many of the performing left really never crossed over into that stupid, in your face mode on his politics like so many do to get the publicity.
I was also fortunate to see the concert in Central Park in the 80’s. My all-time favorite.
One hit wonder on “What I Am”? What about “Circle (of Friends)”?
I know I read they split up years ago. Maybe just a trial separation and not a divorce.
LOL! When I clicked on the video for Beavis & Butthead, I got a pop-up ad for acne medicine!!
In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of ev’ry glove that layed him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
“I am leaving, I am leaving”
But the fighter still remains
Well done!!
