He advised us that the trees that we were walking through, although only about 2 1/2 feet tall, were over 40 years old
as the wind and weather had stunted their growth
I never questioned his counsel, as wind can be quite unforgiving and relentless.

and the reason why NewFies wear knee length rubber boots , just as our kids were "Nikes "(sneakers).
