The dog is welcome to sleep with our children but there are, um, grown-up things that wouldn’t happen with an audience present. Even a dog.

My wife told me right from the beginning that her dog slept with her and if I didn’t like it I could just move on. We’ve had quite an assortment of bedmates over the last 36 years. My dog even has her own pillow.

The purring of my cat is rather like white noise and actually assists me in drifting off to sleep.

Dogs must stay on the floor.
Cats may go on anything I can sit on, but nothing more than that. Absolutely no feet or anything worse on food-bearing surfaces.

My pets have always been welcome to share sleeping quarters-both my husbands felt the same. My cats sleep on the bed, but my Husky won’t stay on a bed or couch more than a few minutes-I guess it is just too warm for all that fur from hell-she likes her pet bed or a rug...

Agreed, sir. Although, I will say that there has been the time or two that I’ve riled up one of the critters, just to aggravate Mrs. PubliusMM.
Keeps things ‘fresh’, dontcha know.

My golden can lay in bed with us, but when the lights go out, he knows it’s time to leave the bed.
Then around 5 am he will jump back on the bed.

I don’t like anything walking on my face. But it happens.
To: Slings and Arrows
The cat sleeps on my feet, or sometimes in the bend of my knees if I am on my side. At first he would get down if I changed position much, but now, he just resettles once I have moved. I guess he likes me.

There are two types of pet owners:
1. Those who allow their pets to sleep with them on the bed
2. Those who lie about it
