A new study is asserting a link between climate change and both the intensifying California drought and the polar vortex blamed for the recent harsh winter. [
]
The new study blames an unusual combination of a strong Western high pressure ridge and deep Great Lakes low pressure trough. And it says that is linked to a recently found precursor to El Niño, the world-weather changing phenomenon. And that precursor itself seems amplified by a build-up of heat-trapping greenhouse gases.

So there were greenhouse gas emissions in the 1600s?? because thats when El Niño was first observed.

If it was for global warming, Chicago would still be under a mile of ice.

I link California’s financial and cultural ruin to democrats, I believe that my link is the accurate one.

They must have put aside the envirofascists policies that are creating the drought. Putting the delta smelt over people will always lead to negative consequences.

I’ve got a study right here - links so-called ‘climate science’ to my butt.
Any challengers?

I thought it was catastrophic global climate disruption... I can’t keep up with these environazis.

As a naive high school student, I was ushered into a public school assembly for the first Earth Day ever. They told us then that greenhouse gasses were going to cause the planet to cool and we'd all freeze to death if we didn't starve to death first.
Their prescription for a cure then was exactly the same as it is now-- big top-down control to manage the problem on a global basis. Ain't that a coincidence?

News flash: new study by global warming alarmists proves they've been right all along!
(OK, but why hasn't it been getting any warmer the last 15 years?)

To: Olog-hai
Let me guess. This study is based on climate models that are based on theories of global warming. BS in, BS out....

The absurdity is exceptional here. They are trying to link a “precursor to El Niño” to AGW; but El Niño (and by extension, its “precursors”) was first observed in the 1600s, which is a century before the Industrial Revolution even began.

More examples of the closed media/statist system.
An employee of the state is paid taxpayer dollars, coerced from the private sector, to write a study with a pre-determined outcome, the state-supporting media uses the results up to push a narrative that is aimed at eventual legislation which will coerce yet more money from the private sector.
A closed system.
One day their game will be up.

The headline calls it “global warming”...and the first line calls it “climate change”. They need to get their stories straight....sheesh.

Not when Seth Borenstein on the job. The "exceptional" absurdity is normal.

To my recollection, they’ve never tried to link pre-industrial weather phenomena to an industrial cause before. That’s an upping of the ante.

Theyve been doing that conflation of terms since the IPCC (the UNs Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) was founded in 1988.

Thats an upping of the ante.
They will do WHATEVER they have to to reach their goal of human control/domination.
What's stunning is the number of supposedly intelligent people who believe this krap and don't see the scam for what it is.
