He is really good ... wonder how he is on birth certificates?
This man is pure awesomeness.
Dang, That guy has some serious skills!
Thanks for the post.
Reminds me of our Department 56 Christmas village that shows scenes from the 50’s...
Nice.
Wow thanks for posting this. I have been a lover of miniatures for decades, have made many and have 2 dollhouses gathering dust now. The photos are just spectacular.
It’s creepy. Like those old ‘60s movies where everyone in town has disappeared.
This reminds me of the small towns my grandparents lived in. Christmas of 1995 we went to the Stuttgart (Germany) Kristkringlemarkt. We were living there then. One large department store, Breuningerland, had removed their normal clothing section and allowed an artist to set up n the space. The large display was the cut-away of a large house, with all the rooms, baths, basement, work rooms, bedrooms, etc. It was to scale and all the little appliances and utensils “worked” You could purchase all the little things, and of all the years for them to be there, it would have to be the year we sent both boys off to college and were living almost hand-to-mouth, ourselves. I was not able to purchase a thing, but hoped to see them back again. It was not to be. It was so beautiful and amazing, though, that we spent most of that evening oohing and aahing over all t he sections and parts, utensils, etc. I love stuff like this. Just awesome! The train set that was posted on dailymail.co.uk/ is awesome, as well!
Ok....it’s fake.
I still want to go there.
I did not see the photos. Was there a link?
The only thing that gives it away is the car tires don’t show the weight of the car.The edsel stationwagon on snow gave it away.Other than that,I would have thought it was real.Beautiful job.
I thought it a little odd that none of the cars had drivers.
Wow. I do 3D graphics, and this degree of realism beats it.
every town had a bar and grill called the Rainbow.
Two words: Twilight Zone.
Great photos!
Neat!
Very nice.
You live in a small town where everybody knows you by name, from the mailman to the policeman to the bank teller at the small town bank (and he looks a lot like Jimmy Stewart).
You own a home on a tree-lined street and you walk about 7 blocks "downtown" to work each day, where you work a non-descript job for a decent salary. You take your lunch at one of the several diners in the downtown area, where you are a regular and everybody knows your name.
You leave work at a decent hour and you stop along the way home to have a beer or two with the guys. Beer is 50 cents a draft. You might shoot a game of pool or darts.
You then go home to a wife that looks like Donna Reed and you have a full meal waiting for you with two or three well-scrubbed and well-behaved children. After dinner, you take the dog for a walk (a golden retriever) around the neighborhood. You then settle in for some newspaper reading or perhaps the Ed Sullivan Show. Or a ballgame.
You spend your Saturday mornings in the garage, fussing with your stylish automobile. Maybe waxing it or changing the oil. You make a few repairs around the house. Neighbors come by to say hello. You get invited to a cookout and spend the afternoon eating burgers and hot dogs and sipping some beers while the kids swim in the outdoor pool or get up a game of baseball in a nearby field.
On Sundays, after church, you take the family on a long drive in your stylish automobile. Maybe to a picnic. Maybe to the beach.
Then on Monday morning, your perfect week starts all over again.
Was such a life every possible or does it only exist in our dreams?
