People who have tried this before either get squished, drop out of the sky when the gear is lowered or end up as a blue Popsicle.
This kid is beyond lucky.

I have always believed, when it is your time, it’s your time. And conversely, when it’s not, it’s not, regardless of what may befall, including your own stupidity.

I don’t know if that is true or not, but it is a simple explanation for why I am still alive.

Hell, he should have just gone to the local police, told them he was homeless and wanted to go in Hawaii. Once upon a time, “progressive” localities like San Jose were giving the homeless one-way tickets to Hawaii, where they can receive about $700 a month in benefits and were allowed (at one time) to live on the beach. Give your problem to someone else.
If that program is still around, the kid could have flown in the cabin and (perhaps) convince the gate agent to upgrade him to first class.
To: ExNewsExSpook
Just did some checking...looks like Hawaii has now implemented that program in reverse; last year, they were offering one-way tickets off the islands for homeless who were living there. By some estimates there are at least 17,000 homeless in the islands, which must be a real plus for the tourism industry.

Is the airline going to bill him for the flight? That is the one question none of the coverage appears to answer.

A child of Obama looking for Obama's birthplace?
Seriously he's lucky.

Yes but (as Todd Schnidt said today) Geography is not his (the teen) strong suit. He snuck on a plane that said Hawaii on it.

LOL, but seriously, he should take up training for marathons, triathlons, ultra-marathons, etc...Surviving 5 hours at that height indicates an amazing ability to metabolize oxygen!
