Every time some well meaning but foolish FReeper tries to tell me that Bob Dylan was basically a "conservative" on the strength of some silly remarks he made in his autobiography about being a "Goldwater Republican" I point them at the FrontPage Mag article.

So, thanks for a timely reminder.

I also remind them of Bob's love affair with Black Panther George Jackson , of Soledad Brother fame. Thank God Jackson, at least, did not escape justice for his crimes, which also produced one of the most hilarious song parodies in history. Check out "Pull the Tregroes Negroes" [name changed to protect modern sensibilities]on National Lampoon's Radio Dinner sometime. Her Nibs, Joan Baez is the butt of the best parody of liberal hypocrisy you'll hear this side of Radical Chic & Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers.
