There’s an unspoken rule that one can only go to a Waffle House between 1:00 and 4:00AM to appreciate its true greatness. (preferably near an interstate highway)
To not be there between 1:00 & 4:00AM, you are missing a truly great American dining experience, and it’s the closest thing you’ll ever see to the ‘Catina scene’ from Star Wars.
The food actually ain’t bad either - FAR better than most of the stuff you typically find at the vast majority of chain restaurants, especially for breakfast food. Most of the shit they serve at IHOP tastes like it was created in a lab somewhere, rather than cooked.
