He compares himself on his website to Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Muhammad Ali.
Last year, he was accused of a similar scam in London for almost $12 million.
Looks to me that the casino was the one that screwed up by using defective cards. Not his fault that its quality control sucks, and plus, I don’t see how it can actually prove anything, period.
It sounds like the casino was using marked decks, and he figured out the system.
It is not cheating to benefit from a defect, even if proven, that the casino unwittingly put into play. That is the whole point in cards, to exploit any “tells” that exist.
Cheating at baccarat? Good luck with that one.

His success in tournament play is fourth best ever, behind just a couple guys like Phil Helmuth, Doyle Brunson, and Johnny Chan.
Ivey has a good chance of passing Chan and Brunson, who are both past their prime and have not won a bracelet in 10 years.
Phil Helmuth is 50 years old, 12 years older than Ivey.
Helmuth's play has become very inconsistent in recent years, but he can still play brilliantly at times, as he did in 2012 when he won the WSOP Europe.
Ivey is a dominant force in “cash” games, where ALL the chips and cash on the table are personal money, and where all the players are usually top level professionals.
Cash games require a completely different temperament than tournament games, where your maximum loss is only your entry fee.
Many professionals consider Ivey to be the most calm and most focused cash game player of all time.
remake of “Kaleidoscope” ?
A spokesman for the casino, speaking off the record, said, “Damn, wisht I’d thought of that!”
