He famously signed The Declaration. His health throughout the 1780's was poor until his death and he was not in Philadelphia for the Constitutional Convention. He was part of the ratifying commission in Massachusetts, and gave a strong speech in favor of ratification, but he didn't live long after the Constitution was finally ratified.
