Yeah, curiouser, but all of these possible destinations or stopovers were discussed here in the days after MH377 disappeared. The Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Diego Garcia. Burma, even. Pakistan too. All of which are better choices than somewhere in the Indian Ocean off Australia, which is basically on the way to nowhere unless some penguin nutcase hijacked it to Antarctica.
Everything about this reeks. If the pilot lost his cool, he might have tried to steal the plane for Pakistan’s use. No need to head for the South Pole unless he was making a very loud statement. No report of any statement, any demand for ransom, or anything overt.
WE still don’t have a clue. Someone does, but the public hasn’t heard a single explanation that stands up to the slightest scrutiny.
Further to “no statement ” in my post directly above. The ONE THING the Malaysians released was the last statement by the pilot or copilot. And then several days later, they revised that “good night” statement. So we were not hearing the voice from the cockpit, just the voice of the Malay government.
Which leads me to believe that there WAS a statement by the pilot or copilot announcing his/their intention to fly away in the plane to a particular destination .It was the ONE THING they wanted to cover up.
Wonder what their liability would be in terms of insurance coverage different if it were a hijacking? Would they be liable for letting a “disturbed” pilot fly? Follow the money .
A least as plausible as some theories floated by CNN.
