As long as Firefox/Mozilla is willing to can their conservative CEO...shouldn't we cast our vote by canning Firefox/Mozilla.
Gotra respect that, theyre hustling to add new users. The message was decently written, even if you support gay marriage, you should be concerned by having a political litmus test applied before you are allowed to make a living.
So what? I can’t stop that. You can’t stop that. A boycott won’t stop anything. Atleast you know how they stand. I still use it (and will) because I like their browser. Doesn’t mean I like their beliefs. All tech companies have done SOMETHING we don’t like. What am I going to do? Give up computers and technology?
As long as you do it for the right reasons, who cares? I cant in goid conscience use Mozilla products knowing full well that they have no tolerance for other viewpoints or beliefs. Cant do it, wont do it, couldnt care less if the boycott succeeds or not, i just cant associate with that company and their repressive environment.
Like it matters one piece of shiite what browser I use?
Eich’s mistake was apologizing. In essence he said he was wrong. Screw him, he’s weak. He probably got a golden parachute. I’m not inconveniencing myself over this.
Me thinks this is what gave you away....
You sure you meant that for me?
And what conservative tech company are you going to use? If like to know that list. See my previous post.
My PC is Dell w/windows xp. I installed PaleMoon today. Works great.
Pale Moon is an internet browser.
You’re paranoid.
Pale Moon is a Browser.
Wasn’t meant for you Ron, your comment just happened to be the one I used to reply. Sorry for any mix up.
Like there’s a pure company out there that doesn’t cave? God I wish Jesus would just come already. The waiting is the hardest part. Wish it could just end quickly.
Careful. People will think you’re a troll for agreeing to use technology.
NO, your message came through clear. You are digressing.
BTTT
As much as anything else you do matters. This is really the tip of the iceberg, either people put their foot down now or it just shows that people are okay intimidation, a political litmus test and singling out of those with different views and opinions when it comes to the work environment. Yiu only embolden these political bullies when you tolerate their shenanigans.
Changing a browser is hardly “inconveniencing” yourself, requires all of 3 or 4 minutes to do. You can get Pale Moon, have the same user experience as with Firefox without supporting a gang of tyrannical goons.
I didn’t see that last night. Thanks.
I fail to see how boycotting a free product accomplishes anything.
You’re probably right. But this is one way to vote. The consumer votes with their patronage.
I’ve just switched to Pale Moon and it’s basically the same thing as FF. A couple of things are moved around (minor) and you don’t get the frequent pages when you open a new tap. There’s a ‘most visited’ button on the left side that gives you a drop down menu of those things.
Bookmarks were imported from FF and it’s exactly the same as I had with FF. Other than the blue landscape, it’s the same browser.
(Not necessarily trying to convince you of anything - just general information for anyone who’s interested. I got a little chatty with this post.)
Thank you. I had been using IE but Palemoon was like going home. No more Firefox! Now to find a replacement for Thunderbird.
