The brainchild of Canada-based photographer Peter Andrew and Creative Directors Simon Duffy and Derek Blais, The Point Blank project shoots handguns in close-up, portrait-style, and straight down the barrel. In doing so, the project creates large-scale, extremely detailed, and uncomfortably in-your-face frontal photographs. The images have a jarring beauty in the symmetry of design, the depth-of-field, and the level of detailall the more powerful for their implicit violence. These subjects have, quite literally, the power to kill.

I’ve always thought that the S&W N frames, from the Triple Lock to the early post-war (WWII) guns were some the finest looking guns ever made.

That reminds me, I need to replace my Glock 23 with something a bit smaller, since I'm moving to a desert climate. Smaller than the Glock and easily concealed, .40, 10 round magazine and utterly reliable. I have my work cut out for me.

The one pistol that is the most intimidating, when seen from the muzzle, is the Colt Model 1917 in .45 ACP. I can't really explain it but that muzzle seems to grow — if you're on the wrong side — until it looks like the muzzle of a 16-inch naval rifle.

This is what a gun looks like when it is pointed at the American people:

Well, those of us who follow the basic runs of gun safety never have seen our weapon system this way.

Ok. I went to the link and wasted my time.
The picture, if 1:1 perspective, is of 2 things in my opinion:
1. Liberal's last vision (deer in the headlights)
2. A dead shooter (if it were pointed at me or anyone I know...and I mean from their own weapon)
The Point Blank project shoots handguns in close-up, portrait-style, and straight down the barrel.
What a horrible use of language and pathetic waste of time.

I’ve looked down the barrel of so many guns, I can’t even imagine where I would begin to count. In other words, big hairy deal!

But have you looked down one when someone else is holding it and you know there are bullets in the gun?

In my experience the muzzle looks exceedingly larger than that.In 1950s Cuba, a bunch of us drunken swabbies were staggering back to out boat and took a wrong turn. Cuba then had what they called "Maritime Police" and this guy was armed with a 7MM Mauser. When he yelled "ALTO!" and pointed that thing at us, the bore looked like a garbage can. That and the "click" as the safety went off set us stone cold sober. We kept yelling "Americano! Americano!" and backed away immediately.
Those guys didn't mess around.

When there is a gun is pointed at you your eyes never leave the gun, making eye contact never comes to mind.

Some said that being shot at by a 45 hollowpoint is like having a trash can fired at you.
