Over too many millenia, man has lorded his position over women, dominating them. This is not the Biblical design. Neither is the 'metrosexual' male, emasculated in the media, the 'Raymond' type of the Everybody Loves Raymond TV show. Because of the dominance of many males, women rebelled. This domination caused the women's movement to change from a quest for equality into what it is today.
There is a Biblical model, as described in 1 Peter 3, Ephesians 5, and 1 Corinthians 7, amongst other Scripture. This model has the man being neither domineering, nor a wimp. He is to lead as Jesus led, a servant leader, demonstrating meekness, as opposed to weakness. Can I say that I practiced this type of leadership at home? No. I failed poorly at it. In an effort to not be dominant over my ex-wife, I went too far the other way, abdicating my leadership. Since she needed a leader, her beloved mother was more than happy to fill that void, leading her to seek divorce.
There is an old joke about a man and his wife attending a service where the Preacher spoke on, "Women, obey your husbands". The man was so impressed that on the way home, he told his wife how things were going to change around the house immediately! His wife would have a cold drink prepared for him the moment he arrived home from work, she would have his slippers ready for him at the door, she would then have supper on the table quickly, she would massage his back whenever he chose, and they would have sex whenever he wanted it. This was a great sermon, he thought, and he was happy that he attended. His wife was very quiet on the drive home. When they got into the house, he said, "Woman, get me a drink!" Suddenly, his wife disappeared and he didn't see her for a few days, until the swelling around his eyes had gone down!
In your posts you have repeatedly blamed man, look to yourself. And again in this one.
The world is fallen, get used to it.
Oh by the way, I don’t need your preaching.
You have drunk the feminist kool-aid.
