If someone can explain... what was the deal with the girl killing her sister? Or was that her sister? I forget their names. And then she pleads with Carol and the black guy that “Its Ok, promise me you’ll wait till she turns” And then Carol takes the girl out to the woods, tells her to look at the flowers and pops her in the head. What was the deal with that? That the girl went nuts or something? That was by far the sickest part of this show.

Carol had to kill Lizzie because Lizzie had become a threat to everyone. Lizzie killed her sister so that once she turned, she could love her and treat her as just “different” than humans. Lizzie was crazy.

And in a few minutes, Lizzie would have killed little Judith. Lizzie had to be eliminated.

Lizzy was a little psychopath and was too dangerous to leave alive.

No hospitals or prisons in that world so there were few options.

Basically, Lizzie went crazy, and she’s been crazy for quite a while. Lizzie was the one feeding rats to the walkers at the chain link fence at the prison, which was attracting more and more walkers to the prison. She was the one who had been dissecting rats at the prison (Tyreese found one). Lizzie killed the little bunnies while they were in the woods. She thought that the walkers were just misunderstood.

After Lizzie killed her sister (Mika), Carol realized that she was too dangerous to keep around - especially around baby Judith. In a normal world, they would have locked Lizzie up and gotten her medical treatment. But, this is the zombie apocalypse, so they didn’t have much other option than to get rid of her because she was a threat.

Lizzie was going to kill the baby, Judith, next after her sister. Lizzie was a threat to everybody. In the zombie apocalypse there was no way to contain Lizzie or give her any kind of medication. It was a horrible choice they had to be made, but they had to do it to save lives.

This show is going down scary paths, asking some scary questions, and I hope they don’t continue this kind of thinking, hoping to garner ratings.

The cannibal stuff is going to be bad enough....

The girl, Lizzie, was a very young psycho, she needed to die. She killed her sister, she was about to kill baby Judith. (she’d also been in the act of smothering Judith when Carol came upon them) She did many other strange and psychotic acts while back at the prison too. shudder. She was a complete whack job.

“what was the deal with the girl killing her sister? Or was that her sister?”

That’s the one I missed and will watch it today at 6 pm my central time. What I got from others was, it was determined the one who killed her sister, was too bad to live, that she would always be that way, so she was killed. In today’s world, the bad sister would be put on Xanax or other pill to render her senseless.

Not sick.

the girl never understood/refused to accept reality as far as what was going on with people who died and were reanimated. she thought that it was possible to reason with them. she killed her sister to try to prove that point. no amount of trying to get through to her about that the people weren’t really there anymore, worked. she refused to see - denial too strong, perhaps a defense mechanism, but a fatal one where she underestimates danger and was getting angry that other live people were dispatching walkers.

when she turned the gun on carol and the other guy briefly, she became an overt threat ot the living people trying to stay alive. she just wasn’t getting it and was not going to get it. because of that, she became dangerous for the remaining living. she killed one, her sister. she drew a weapon on others. nothing was gonna bring her to reality. it would’ve been liveable if she wasn’t dangerous to others.

The older sister already humanized the zombies, understanding that they were hungry and feeding them rats and rabbits so that they might not eat her.
The older sister saw it as liberating the younger one. If she’s a zombie, there is no more fear or danger for her except being killed by the adults. If they “change”, they now fit into the world, still themselves but “different”.
She saw it as making her sister like almost everyone else in the world. But now they wouldn’t be tired, afraid, scared or upset. Preventing Carol from putting a bullet in the little sister’s corpse as to “save” her from being “killed”.
Now you have a child who thinks converting people to zombies is liberating them, a Buddhist type of release. She’s going to kill on purpose and sees it not as wrong but a type of good.
The girl was thus too dangerous to take around other people, for fear she’d kill you in order to “free” or “change” them. They had to kill her to protect others, if only themselves and baby Judith.
