yeah i think what they’re doing there in the story is pretty weak. if it’s that important you have redundancy. even if the person memorizes stuff that they can’t totally 100% understand. or writes it down.

half of me thinks he doesn’t know squat but he wants the protection. he may be a smart guy but he doesn’t really know.

but there is strength in numbers and attrition deaths occur, skills are lost, and then needed. they have to have a certain number of people to watch a large area

Certainly a good thought......but we're what, two years into the zombie apocalypse now? I suspect they are fully adapted to their own environment as evidenced by the defense system they had in place along the roof tops and the outside fence perimeter. Their only thought now is the defense of what they have and to insure a constant flow of FOOD>

I think you missed the fact that during the chase scene thru the compound, there were cries for help coming from the shipping crates along the route........

Just what do you suppose THOSE folks were there for? Certainly not maintenance, security or common chores...............

no, actually i pointed out to someone else that there were people in the metal shipping crates crying for help.

as i said, my theory is that as soon as someone in the slightest, doesn’t go along with what is going on there, and esp if they could be a threat, anyone not from the core group, they become a food source. i think that can work because they are not part of the core group and haven’t gone thru the same stuff that bonded the core terminus folks. they would still be more likely to not go along with something, and then bam, they’re no longer part of the Terminus group and are gonna get eaten.

Good theory but I suspect everyone from OUR group will be considered as hostiles and treated accordingly.........

If you have enough food to fatten them up, why not just eat it yourself?

Because it’s fiction.

“The best gun error ever in TWD is when Herschel was on a tower with an AR with it’s AIMPOINT... ON BACKWARDS.
He must have been all like, Wow! I wish I could see them but there’s a red dot shining right into my eye.... “

Excellent catch by Lazamataz: whose eye for detail is better than mine. Also memory; I don’t recall this scene.

But if it is a real “red dot” made by Aimpoint, nothing would come out of the “wrong end” into which actor Scott Wilson was peering.

The technical term for sights of this type is “reflex” or reflector sights. They are entirely passive and send nothing out toward the target.

Reflex gun sights were first used on aircraft gun systems during the Second World War. They superimpose a projected image of the sight’s illuminated reticle onto a partial-reflecting mirror; the target image arrives through the front of the optics (that “wrong end” toward Scott Wilson’s eye in the vidcap image) goes through the partial-reflecting mirror, and is combined with the reticle, which is aligned with the gun trajectories according to the operator’s preference and the maintenance technicians’ calibration and adjustments. Easier and quicker to use than two-element “iron sights”; all the operator (typically, the single-seat fighter pilot) does is look through the sight, see the target, see the reticle image, and match them up. No struggling with focus, as everything appears to be at the same distance.

Anyone who has seen gun camera footage from 1941 onwards has likely seen the glowing dot inside one or more circles, often with tick marks around the periphery. One slang term for it is “pipper”.

Red-dot sights (Aimpoint is a leading manufacturer, so much so that the name is now generic) have only been made small enough for small arms for a couple decades. They are sometimes confused with laser designator devices, often called “laser sights”: a laser (nowadays a very tiny one, built into spring guides, grip panels, or a module below the barrel) projects a beam that appears to the shooter as a bright spot on the target. The alignment of the laser can be adjusted to make the spot coincide with gun’s sight picture, or point of impact, as preferred by the shooter.

"I think maybe it goes back to that episode where Carl was yelling at Rick, and Rick was unconscious. Carl blamed Rick for not doing what needed to be done in order to keep them all alive (Hershel and Judith, etc.). But how far is too far when you go from doing what is necessary to becoming a monster?"

Makes sense. I don't blame Rick and company for anything they've done, though. I thought I might be turned off by Rick ripping out Joe's throat, but when it happened, I was just glad he did it.

Carl needs to listen to Michonne, try to understand the necesssary actions that are sometimes pushed upon them, and make peace with himself.

“One of my favorite movie “discontinuities” was in Top Gun, when the jet Tom Cruise is piloting shoots THREE missiles from the starboard wing (only have two on each side).”

Will defer to boatbums on underwing stores configurations for the F-14.

I refuse to see _Top Gun_. Lack of regard for Tom Cruise, ethical misgivings about fighter pilots generally, and differences of opinion inside various subsections of the profession of arms.

LOL, I saw this one a while back, but I watched again. It’s great.

Andrew Lincoln says he fears the wrath of Norman Reedus more than he fears being killed off on the show, because Reedus has assured him he’s planning some big revenge.

Care to explain that little gem?

I like how Andrew Lincoln referred to them as “Termites” in The Talking Dead recap.

I was thinking about that scene and think it is probably my favorite and most touching of the whole season. Rick laying comatose on that sofa and Carl couldn't get him to wake up. Then Rick started making "zombie-like" sounds and Carl had to aim his gun at his own father and decide to shoot him in case he was reanimating. Carl couldn't do it and when Rick turned and his arm flopped over, it broke my heart when Carl sobbed, "Just do it then, get it over with!". For all his talk about not needing his Dad anymore, when push came to shove, he KNEW he couldn't go on without him - that life wouldn't be worth living alone. Sob. Sniff.

It explains the title of the episode “A”, which I had thought was strange.

I don't think there was any intentional significance of A or B by the residents of Terminus.

The facility appears to be a factory of some sort with multiple buildings and "A" and "B" are merely their respective identifications.

Maybe "B" building is where they process the "meat".....

Looks more like a “live” photo during shooting. Michonne is swinging a short bladed fake sword and they then FX a full length blade in later (she described this on Talking Dead)

This is done so when she is swinging at zombies she doesn’t hit the extras playing the said zombies.

She said on Talking Dead that when they filmed that scene in the forest when she killed 20 or so zombies that she was walking with, that she was really afraid she was going to hit one of them by mistake.

Third Season when Governor attacks, look at the actions on the semi auto 1911s. There is none...just flame coming out the front. I thought it was just happening too fast to see until I slowed the DVR down.

Truly a Hollywood firearm.
