Watch one of the Bowey Boys (originally the Dead End Kids) movies first. They are pretty short, available everywhere, and give you a quick standard to compare to.
Believe it or not, I am not only of an age to have watched Muggs, Glimpy and the gang in their different iterations East Side Kids, Little Tough Guys, Bowery Boys,Dead End Kids but many other fine old shows like Charlie Chan, Mr. Moto, Flash Gordon, etc. growing up and can bring them to mind in pleasant memory. All we have for kids now is carp!
