Hi sorry I just realized, 2ndDivisionVet was banned?
What happened?
It sounds series. I hope he recovers.
A law suit against the expression of an opinion would have to prove libel or some other civil wrongdoing.
“Lawfare” or SLAPP suits are only occasionally successful, even when utilized for legal harassment outside of court.
If lawsuits against expression had standing under the First Amendment, every conservative talk show host, magazine, website or radio station would have been sued out of existence by liberals decades ago. Only the “Fairness Doctrine” existed as a government-wielded club against conservative media, and it is long gone, good riddance.
Our FReeper mods need to practice some transparency, IMO. What did 2ndDivVet do to get banned, and when did he do it?
2nd Division Vet was my favorite poster.
Whenever I decided to read a post, chances were that it was posted by him.
Bring him back. Posters like him add tremendous value to FR.

Sometimes it is easy to make a remark on this forum that is misunderstood. I have to remind myself when you write an opinion the reader doesn’t know your whole thought process and may take it the wrong way. Then there are those that will never like your opinion unless you agree 100% with them.

I clicked his profile and it was banned a few minutes ago. I just clicked it again and it came up.

2ndDivisionVet told me about his financial problem, and asked for advice on ways to save money and raise money. We exchanged many FReepmails, and never once did he request money.
2ndDivisionVet has been a great asset to this site. He posts relevant content, shares a positive conservative Christian perspective, and treats his fellow FReepers with respect. I don’t know what he did to get banned, but I can’t believe it was anything so serious that his honorable history here could not afford him the benefit of the doubt.
I hope Jim will seriously consider reinstating 2ID’s posting privileges.
It has been a year or more since I sent him a check. I remember he never acknowledged that he received it. I finally ask him and I believe he finally replied that he had. Then a short time later I received a freepmail from someone requesting money and I had never seen their name on FR. I ignored that person. I would never have sent 2ndDV money if I had known it was against the rules.
The request for money was so he could move to Texas. I sent it because Texas as proud to have him.
I can’t make it out. What did he do?
