For business, work related activity, this is life itself. Remote connectivity makes the difference between working from home and never leaving the office.
Comcast has an obligation to widely communicate such outages as much as any business would to allow for those who rely on such connectivity to make accommodations for the outages.
Customer Experience is a primary focus for any business that wants to retain and grow it's customer base.
The fact that there are very few free market alternatives is criminal, but that is another topic altogether.
He has every right to protest a denial of service under contract. He may even have legal recourse in some cases.
There are plenty of alternatives. The problem is they suck.
Having your cable go out for two hours is inconvenient. Especially if you’ve put down money on the game. But it’s really not worth getting yourself worked into a lather.
But, I guess it’s something everyone can hate equally, so have at it. I am sure there is a Comcast VP reading this thread who will run to your rescue.
