Talk about a box office diversion.
Shailene Woodleys Divergent might be the No. 1 film in America but faith-based audiences are once again proving to be anything but conservative at the U.S. box office.
Christian drama Gods Not Dead, opening in fewer than 800 theaters, is on track for an impressive $8.2 million this weekend. Thats a per-screen average of over $10,400 from 782 locations.

Only Hollywood has been dead for years!
I was referring to films like Noah and Son of God.
I saw it Friday night. It was good. I enjoyed it immensely. Next film is Bad Words with Jason Bateman. Was going to go today, but I was sick and wife is trying to get me better so we can go tomorrow perhaps.
The Duck Dynasty people are in it. The main actor is a “D” actor by the name of Kevin Sobo or something like that. You are not getting “A” listers but it doesn’t matter because it is a good movie.
And they are, unfortunately, comfortable in their death.
Hollyweird makes its version of Biblical films which has little to do with the Bible and Gods truth.
Lord almighty then don’t see the movie. Your loss.
I’m so sorry that you’re not well but I’m glad that you got to see it since it has a limited opening.
I was referring to films like Noah and Son of God.
Wow! I am again pinging your on your ridiculous exaggerations. You must have a crystal ball to know what Noah is about (the movie). Sometimes you come off like a know it all. Why don’t you see the movie and then criticize. Oh by the way, Son of God was incredible.
Hollywood didn’t make this movie, a christian company called Pure Flix did.
The professormakes them the students sign a paper an turn in paper that says “God is Dead”. The Chistian refuses and the professor wants to humiliate him by forcing him to prove it to the students. What the professor didn’t expect was the Christian using science and intellect to prove it. It will make the most staunch athiest at least consider that they might be wrong I think.
JSanders2001: Thank you so much on enlightening me about this.
I have been hard on you tonight, but I can’t stand the movie bashing on every movie except for that horrid “American Carol” ..of all movies, that movie should have been spoken as negative, but NO ..it was talked up like the best film and deserved an Oscar. It was pure crap!!!!!! I hated every moment of the film. I think it might be the worst movie I have ever watched.
Hollywood didnt make this movie, a christian company called Pure Flix did.
That company needs to make more!
There are reviews of Noah and God is not mentioned in the movie. As for Roma Downey's Son f God there's nothing a committed New Ager can tell me about God.
Good movie. Go see it.
I see maybe 1 movie a year and am usually more or less dragged to it by the family.
They have made more. I have What If
Ok. Great news. Just read Box Office Mojo and the best news of the weekend that nobody is talking about is that Tina Fey’s movie BOMBED!
You are so lucky (that you never heard of that tripe).
Woo Hoo!!!!!
