I took time to find out how much soil was in the barrel I put last year’s plant in, and it has to be a 5 gal. barrel.

Thx, maybe I can get by with ten gallon smart pots. Lol, I prefer to work off someone else's trial and error..

I was talking to someone at the Gunshop today who used to live in NY, and was around a lot of Italians. I asked him if he'd ever eaten cuccuzi..and described them..He said, "Oh, you mean "gugootz". He said the ones that are picked at about 8 to 12 inches long are called jadools..which could be a bad word in Italian for all I know.

The pots I will use for the T squash beside that 5 gallon one are 3 gallon. I’ll know after this if they will be large enough. I do have one other larger pot here that must be at least 4 gallon and I’ll use that for one, so I’ll have one 5 gallon, one 4 gallon, and two in 3 gallon ones.
