I believe I heard on Fox News, soon after the FLT 370 was missing, that Tom Ridge the first Homeland Security Chairman was on the flight. I have heard nothing else about that. Either he really wasn't on the flight and the first report was a mistake, I just imagined I heard the report in the first place or he is/was on the flight and no one is saying anything.
Did anyone else hear this bit of news?
“no prob”. Ugh. The latest substitute for the reply “You’re welcome!” It’s why I refuse to say “Thank you” anymore to anyone in commerce. Nine times out of ten I’m going to get the dreaded NP back instead of YW. I mean if I said I was sorry I stepped on your tail or something, then I could understand “no problem” as a reply. But NOT as a reply to “Thank you”. Where do they teach the kids this stuff anyway, in high school?
Wishing someone dead? Nice. You’re an idiot.
It might come as a surprise to you but use of expressions and language generally does change over time. Perfectly competent users of English antedating you by a century or two or three might have some serious issues with your own usages.
No, he was hiking the Appalachian Trail...but he did vacation in Thailand recently.
no prob seems to be a problem for you. To many others it is no prob
I read it on the internet.
It must be true.....
I heard it was Jim Thompson who was on the flight.
Can anyone confirm?
So it depends upon what the meaning of “on” is; As in “Here’s Tom Ridge on flight MA370.”
1. Did he stay at a Holiday Inn Express?
2. Did he save 15% by switching to Geico?
How would anyone know? I've never seen such a fast dive into political oblivion as his.
My mother, who listens to the radio while asleep, thought the actor, James Woods’ brother was on it. I told her I didn’t think so.
