Nothing new under the sun. I spent a good many years selling and installing remote car starters and remote controlled car security.

This was back in the 80s and 90s. We always used this method to gain range. Just hold the remote to your chin.

My Python system has a mile range, and the remote has a status display and vibrates and beeps for the different alerts (bump/break-in/low batt, etc). It’s pretty cool. If my son is playing his stereo too loud in the garage/shop, I can trip my car alarm without walking downstairs. LOL.
