I read a really good piece by a black woman complaining about how, as a conservative, she is no longer considered black. She described the bi-racial pres, raised by a white mother and white grandparents compared to her with two black parents, a black husband and black children. She said to discount that, she was told it was about “the struggle”, to which she replied, how did this privledged bi-racial man fit into that narrative? Raised in Hawaii in prestigious private schools, educated at the most elite university in the country - how does he fit the definition of “struggle”? It was really well written - she said she went from being black one day to not black enough the next.

A black lady on Twitter the other night said something to the effect of “The GOP doesn’t have a good record with blacks, but remember the Democrats have done nothing for us either.”
The old “by giving them 95% of our votes, we have no power” argument.
Judging by the responses she got from other blacks, they know only one thing: conservatives are racists who hate them.
It’s transparent that they are manipulated by this phantom hatred into voting for Dems.
And the pathetic idea overall is that the government is supposed to do something for one group. What does the government do for ME???? I don’t say “hey what does the government do on a daily basis for this white woman?” - I look at Americans overall benefitting from our military and the government overseeing our monetary system of commerce. Expecting something just for blacks or just for gays or just for women is childish and dividing.
Jawboning on late night shows
And the internet between ferns
Proves beyond any doubt, Obama
Isn’t worth nearly what he earns
It seems as if his ideal job
Is hosting one of those shows
Or traveling, making speeches
And golfing wherever he goes
Maybe he should, as Nancy says
Be free to follow his passion-
Fine-let’s quit paying for that,
And Michelle’s high dollar fashion...
People like that identify with an ethnic/racial/or other group first and as Americans last. As long as they have that mindset, they will never be anything but ignorant and selfish, no matter what else they do.
I’d prefer to see any group thinking that way to go to some state that will agree with them, and get it-and them-out of this country-and that does include those who insist that government should continue to legislate morals, because they can’t see how that has brought us to this debacle we are in. They simply must have everyone believe just like them or by God, be legislated, punished, etc. That isn’t the America I was brought up to love and be willing to die for if the need came...
And I want to see her live in the real world for a day or two-I doubt she would last more than an hour or two...
MY theory is that you have to have OCD to enjoy housework. I don’t. LOL

Our son is drinking again and living on the streets after a fight with his father. Happened Sat night, being pain free is helping me deal with this. Yesterday, while at the local Christian pharmacy, I picked up a flyer on a Christian drug program for addicts. I had met his pastor at a car wash last summer, so I stopped back to see if it was the same one and chat with the pharmacist who is an active member of the ministry. Very successful program, and the Broome County District Attorney’s office just called and had a meeting with the pastor to find out what he is doing. I am hopeful. This is just one thing the Catholic church is ill equipped to handle. My pharmacist was a Catholic at one time and we had a frank discussion of our churches. I am going to attend this church and one of these meetings this week.

I am in favor of any bible-believing Christian church. I am praying for you all. I can’t even begin to imagine your pain. But you should not feel guilt, because your son is an adult and responsible for his own actions.
Well, Jesus came for sinners and a church’s ministry should be seeking sinners, too. I have to check this out, or go crazy.
