Our son is drinking again and living on the streets after a fight with his father. Happened Sat night, being pain free is helping me deal with this. Yesterday, while at the local Christian pharmacy, I picked up a flyer on a Christian drug program for addicts. I had met his pastor at a car wash last summer, so I stopped back to see if it was the same one and chat with the pharmacist who is an active member of the ministry. Very successful program, and the Broome County District Attorney’s office just called and had a meeting with the pastor to find out what he is doing. I am hopeful. This is just one thing the Catholic church is ill equipped to handle. My pharmacist was a Catholic at one time and we had a frank discussion of our churches. I am going to attend this church and one of these meetings this week.
