INDIANAPOLIS - Colts owner Jim Irsay voluntarily checked into a health care treatment center after he was arrested in Carmel on DWI charges linked to prescription pills.

When police stopped Irsay late Sunday, they found several prescription drugs in pill bottles in his car and he was preliminarily charged with driving under the influence and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Police said the drugs found in Irsay's car weren't associated with the prescription bottles found inside.

We may be going through a low tide news cycle. There’s not a lot of big stuff to talk about besides the pilot who lost his plane near Malaysia, or the President who lost his nerve near Ukraine. The closer we get toward November, when careers and national momentum will be decided, the more big and interesting stuff there will be to discuss. Sometimes, I wonder how Rush, Sean and others do it every weekday, producing and performing a three hour talk show worth listening to. It’s true, Rush is indulging himself and using his show to sell his books, but, then it is his show. One thing that makes me happy, not just tolerant of his Book-A-Thon ways, is that Rush has children calling in and talking to him in clear and articulate ways. This is not just cutesy,wootsy stuff, the kids are truly into this book. These are the future conservatives of our party. Sort of like when my pastor takes a lot of time talking to the children every Sunday at 11am Mass. These will be the future of our church. By all means, encourage their interests!!

No! He wastes the precious air time of show with self-promotion of his children's book(s). That leaves less time to deal with the very threatening issues related to Obama. It is as simple as that.
The kids he is focusing on will probably not be able to vote for another eight (8) years. By that time, we will be lucky to still have a country left based upon the present rate of destruction caused by Obama policies. And Obama still has three (3) years to go!

I’m sorry, it is a choice for Irsay. He chose his path. And like I said I’m just glad he didn’t hurt or maim anyone else because of his “choice”.
He’s chosen to go into rehab. The severity of his actions or at least the charges got his attention. Not expecting a first time revolation but am sure his family and friends are praying for such

Jimmy’s lawyer probably left an envelope of cash and free box seats for the Colts in an envelope in the judge’s office.
Jimmy will return all clean and do the usual repentant squawk until the next time.

I know one too except that he also had to meet regularly with a substance abuse psychologist. Kinda difficult when couldn't drive due to suspended license and had to pay out of pocket for the counciling.
After the second visit the psychologist knew he wasn't alcohol addicted so she just sent him the weekly signed statements that he had to turn in to whomever......
From comments on FB and others it appears an intervention was set up using LEO and judicial with family/friends gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse

Personally, I believe the children's books are a master stroke. A desperately needed attempt to compensate for the sad state of public education -- which is consciously designed (by none other than William Ayers) to minimize knowledge of and appreciation for the nation's history.
Long-term, correcting this situation is far more important than "sticking with the issues". THE PROPER EDUCATION OF OUR CHILDREN, DAMMIT, IS AN "ISSUE"!
It's up to us -- you and me -- to hold on for the next eight years, until these kids start voting.
