I'm posting a youtube link for my fellow Dave Ramsey fans. I think you might find it interesting.
It’s been a long time since my last ping! I hope you enjoy this one.
Thank you Diana for sending it to me.
Luck is about being prepared and recognizing an opportunity.
I haven’t seen the video, but I gotta throw this in. It is not “luck vs hard work”. It is good decisions vs poor choices.
The guy that chooses, on a regular basis, to get stoned and party with his friends rather than do his homework will get poorer grades and do more poorly at pretty much everything.
And a single big mac won’t make you fat.
It is about the DAILY choices you make.
Both, but mostly hard work.
It is possible to make all the right choices, but still lose.
Making good decisions will reduce the chances of failure, but it doesn’t remove it.
isn’t it amazing that the people who complainthat success is not based on hard work, are the same people who are doing absolutely nothing.
Is Dave Ramsey the “better than I deserve” guy? I borrowed it and use it frequently.
“Luck is about being prepared and recognizing an opportunity.”
Actually, preparation is very hard work, but I get your point.
That was my point. Good video.
True, making good decisions is a very valuable thing to do. However, once the decision is made, then taking action is key!
Yep, that is him. He likes it when ohters use that particular “Davism.”
;-)
I’ve been putting together an emergency stash of stuff and it took a lot of work filling up the water containers!
;-)
The harder I work, the luckier I get.
yes
I know people who have run a successful business for 40 years, through every kind of good and bad times imaginable. The idea that they faced every day and preserved as a result of “luck” is pure communist fantasy.
It is possible to make all the right choices, but still lose.
Making good decisions will reduce the chances of failure, but it doesnt remove it.

I remember a fictional story told to me in the late sixties about an “inventor that, for years, was tinkering in his basement trying to invent something to no avail. After a couple of decades, he did invent something that made him a millionaire (a lot of money back then)
His neighbors called it luck.
Neither. Success is having a big ass, big boobs and and CLEAVAGE!!!
A sex tape can be substituted for one of the above.
