Newman was always my favorite. The episode where Kramer kicks him out of the mail truck and he ends up at the farmer’s house was hilarious.

It is still a dirty joke to play on a Hollywood type.
An actor can suffer a lot of worry and anguish in the hours between reading the story, and his agent calling to tell him it isn’t true.

He's not dead. Just resting.

When the original story was first posted here, I recall being disturbed and a bit skeptical that a first responder had identified the deceased by name in a public forum. That is simply prohibited in health care.

Surprised he didn’t die years ago of a stroke - he was fabulous at getting himself worked up into a fit, red face and all, when needed - nothing funnier than when he’s asked about working in the post office - “aren’t those the guys who go crazy and shoot everybody?” - Newman pausing with a sinister look:”...sometimes - because the mail just keeps coming, you get it out and then there’s more, and you get it out and then there’s the Publisher’s Clearing House, and.....”
