Its been a rough week in terms of eaters finding disgusting things in their food. There was Jon Hughes of North Wales, who found a dead shrew inside his bag of potato chips , and Robin Sandusky of New York who found a lizards head and arm inside her salad . Making this a trifecta is Natalie Estrella, who found a large, disgusting bug in her soup from a New York restaurant, as WPIX 11 News reports.
After finding the bug (and taking a picture), she alerted her waiter. The waiter took the soup away and disposed of the bug, which Estrella believes is a silverfish bug, and the restaurants owner offered a refund.
So, whats the deal with Mi Mundo Restaurant? WPIXs investigation found that it has some problems with the Health Department. It has a pending C rating and violations that include, evidence of live mice living there, filth flies, and food contact surfaces that are not properly washed.

"There are snails on her plate. Now get them out of here before she sees them! You would think that in a fancy restaurant at these prices you could keep the snails off the food! There are so many snails there you can't even see the food! Now take those away and bring us those melted cheese sandwich appetizers you talked me out of!"
The goldbugs probably are loaded with silverfish...
Speak for yourself, if that happened to me I could honestly claim permanent traumatization. I seriously would have a problem eating any packaged food after that.
Okay I did
ThAt was gross.
Now I’m off to cook supper :p
It’s protein. Clean your plate. Think of all the poor children in China.
WAITER! What is this bug doing in my soup!
Don’t worry sir, he won’t eat much!
WAITER! What is this bug doing in my soup!
The backstroke sir!
WAITER! What is this bug doing in my soup!
SHUTUP and eat! There are people starving in China!
I personally went to take care of the "product liability complaints" since they were highly sensitive and potentially very expensive legal problems...
This is a true story: A customer found a dead mouse in a sealed can of soda once...
She wanted $10,000 to not sue the company...she actually thought I'd cut her a check right there...
She never drank it and fortunately had poured the soda into a glass and realized there was a foreign object in the can...
I traded her the can/mouse for a free case of soda and told her "go ahead and try to sue, but you never experienced a health issue and pretty much was simply grossed out, that's not much of a legal leg to stand on" ...
She never realized I had the evidence and she had admitted to never drinking the product...
Another women claimed the root beer we sold her made hair grow on her arms and made her smell bad...well, she did have a lot of hair on her arms and boy did she stink
She got a free case of soda too...
"I believe it's the backstroke, sir."
{proudly} "We only serve authentic sancocho here, sir..."
The bug looks more appetizing than the “meal”.
The whole thing looks like something that’s been through a garbage disposal. I’ve always thought only “Mexican” food was like that.....
Dunno, but I bet it has electrolytes.
Just a little extra protein.
“Slimy, yet satisfying.”
“Shut up and eat your silverfish” Michelle “the starver” Obama
