Following the NCAA's imposition of sanctions, the Big Ten added its own punishment: Penn State is required to forfeit $13 million in revenue from conference bowl games during the four years the university is ineligible.
The suit claims that by accepting the Freeh Report, which has been widely criticized by Penn State supporters, the NCAA damaged Paterno's image, the future coaching prospects of Jay Paterno and William Kenny; prevented the university trustees from carrying out their duties; wiped out the achievements of student athletes and deprived faculty of resources.
In the court filings Friday, the plaintiffs ask the Big Ten and the Mayer Brown law firm to turn over documents that relate to communication between them and Freeh's law firm, the NCAA, Penn State and any other person or group relating to the investigation and consent decree.
Lawyers for the plaintiffs filed an amended lawsuit last month after a judge specially assigned to Centre County dismissed key parts of the case.
Because the group alleged a breach of the contract between Penn State and the NCAA when it imposed the sanctions, the suit could not proceed without Penn State as a defendant, Judge John B. Leete ruled.
The NCAA and Penn State must file responses to the suit by Monday.

Did he tell anyone right away? No. He "didn't want to interfere with their weekends." I wonder if that boy had a good weekend. Rot in hell Paterno. Don't let people forget his culpability.

Yeah - a man of Joe Paterno’s integrity was told of a RAPE of a child, and did nothing about it. Nice story. Zero proof - and it makes zero sense.
Joe was praised by the OAG for his cooperation and also Fina the lead prosecutor said on 60 minutes that he had no evidence that JVP was involved in any sort of cover up.
