To: Slings and Arrows

I actually tamed a feral tomcat.

Took me almost a year, finally he would jump into my lap for some lovin....he loved to be picked up and petted.

I was the only person he would allow such contact with though.

I never thought it would be possible.

My wife and I managed to tame a feral queen who was living in our back yard at the time we moved into our house. Mrs. Tweezers says she observed us for a couple years to determine whether we would be suitable staff.

She still runs off and hides under the bed when company comes over, but she's very loving with us. And she's adjusted well to being a house cat, as this picture shows.

Yeah, me, too! I was shocked that I was able to take an outside fighter into a great big loving protective inside cat. Sadly, I only had him for a year, but it was the best year one could have had, for both of us.
