I'm surprised that he didn't ask to be buried with a Henway ...

Judging by the opening of his obit, I suspect Mr. Bruhl was a bit of a Monty Python fan. And he was clearly at peace with the notion of his own mortality.
I shall raise a double bourbon to him tonight.

And then there's this.
Instead of flowers, Walt would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate soul in his name.

Obituary:
...There will be no viewing since his wife refuses to honor his request to have him standing in the corner with a glass of Jack Daniels in his hand so that he would appear natural to visitors...

I just can’t find the humor. He seems like an unselfish and nice man. I hope he knew the Lord as his Savior. He definitely had the love of his family.

There will be no viewing since his wife refuses to honor his request to have him standing in the corner of the room with a glass of Jack Daniels in his hand so that he would appear natural to viewers. Honestly, I want to go out like this guy did.

Great. My kids have told me I should write my own. Not figuring on exiting the earthly plane anytime soon, but it might be a fun exercise...
Sounds like grandfather was a hoot. Prayers up for him and the family.

"What's a Henway"
To which I would reply:
"About 2 lbs."

He was from NewARK, De. and Dewey beach, De. Not NewERK, NJ. Anyway, God bless you Walter. May God rest your soul.

Lighten up there King. Guess you wouldn’t get the Dewey thing. It really is “A Way of Life”.

I would like to run my own funeral service via a DVD presentation. It would save my darling wife (or family) from having to organize anything and I would get to say what I want at my own send off. Firstly I would want to tell everyone that they need to know God but also I would want my own sense of humor to come over and the music that I love played - some Christian but also my wedding song and songs that remind me of my kids!

In Tombstone, Arizona, in the Boot Hill cemetery there is one "famous tombstone" and it reads:
Here lies Les More,
Dead from the shot of a .44.
No les, no more.
