Well, a lot of the girls have been let down by their families. I can’t say I’m surprised.
The real issue here, to me, is that a lot of girls have been taught that they have to rely on themselves (and as shown by divorce statistics it’s a natural lesson) and I wonder if having to grow up too fast has a lot to do with it.

I think there is a truth to that. My daughters had to grow very quickly when the spouse crashed and burned with alcohol...and continues to this day.
However the oldest married at 24, the 21 year old is traveling the world in missions and looking. The son is looking for the right girl. The youngest is something else.
As a father of three boys, I cannot personally speak to what girls are taught.
However; one of the most important parental wisdoms I have pressed onto my children is to never marry a girl that moves from her daddy's house to yours. Only marry a girl that has lived on her own. A girl that is marrying because she wants you; not because she needs you, or imagines you to be the solution to her problems.
