KEYWORDS: crimeanreferendum; poll; rianovosti; russia; ukraine
This is just for fun; completely unscientific but the sentiment is there. I voted the "right way" and I wasn't surprised by the result. Nearly every one who voted, chose Crimean reunification.
My vote was to tweak the MSM because I can't stand them and I just hate their agenda. So I voted the opposite of how they want me to take a position here.
Good thing because I don't get that opportunity too often!

Poll: Ukrainians support unification with Russia more than Russians"
"The number of Ukrainians who think that Ukraine and Russia should be united into one state is 19%, while in Russia 14% support such an idea, according to the results of a sociological poll conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in Ukraine and Russian Levada-Center posted on the Web site of the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper on March 23. Compared to 2010 the number of those supporting unification of the countries in Ukraine increased from 16% to 19%, and in Russia this number grew from 13% to 14%. ..."

Look up the ethnic balance in Crimea, and Ukraine might actually want Russia to take it back.
There are a large number of Tatars, who are muslim, and have historically been seriously mistreated by Russia. Lots of dead uncles and aunts who never lived to have children of their own. If Russia really wants to bring these guys in, go for it, but they will live to regret it.
Obama might accidentally get this right. When your enemy is making a mistake, don’t hinder him.
To: CurlyDave
The Tartars aren’t originally from Crimea. Where did they come from and why did they end up in the Crimea?

I don’t get it. You want to tweak our MSM because of its group think, yet you are saying you’ll support the Putin propaganda machine.
