That growing cart is expensive. Looking at laundry carts as a substitute is a good idea.

I just planted 34 onion bulbs. I planted them like Applegate said, with the tops showing a bit. According to Applegate and another source, but I trust Applegate more than the other source, planting them with the top showing makes big onions and planting one to two inches deep makes small onions.

I have very small onion bulbs left - can I peel them and cook them a bit with a little butter, and eat?

As long as they haven’t been treated, yes you can eat them.

It’s frightening to be considered a trusted source: means I have to be even more careful in my answers in posts.
