The young woman is cute. Finnish is a hard language to learn.

From the Yahoo MC's comment:
"Though the subject of the video is controversial -- many people take offense at their language being re-created or just completely butchered -- it's remarkable what a positive reaction there has been to it, mostly because of the wide range of nationalities she covers."
I'd say the fact that she's extremely attractive may have something to do with it too.
Also, her facial expression after she says the American-style "hello?" reveals that she understands perfectly well what she's saying in that case at least.

I worked with some Finns once. I don't think I heard a full paragraph from any of them. 6 words in a row was a long speech.
I thought (and still do) that they were somewhat telepathic.

An Argentinian friend once broke into some fake Chinese. The laugh was that it sounds the same to her as it does to this American.

I wuld like to have herd her go through her repertoire but she only got in a little before the announcer dude cut her off. YAHoO videos are ALL about the advertising. The “content” is just a teaser.

Anytime anybody takes an effort to slam a language that resembles a constant need to get rid of some glob in the throat, i.e., any dialect derivative of Arabic or Persian, is worth watching with a cup of coffee.

This is funny, and yes, she’s cute - pulls it off nicely.
I like this idea very much, because I’ve often wondered what (American) English “sounds like” to the foreign ear...
For me, I can’t “hear it” as foreign - my understanding of the actual words get in the way.
It’s and interesting thing to me. I would like to “hear it”.
