Install the Ad Block Plus add-on to your browser.

It's very effective in blocking advertisements. And you can add your own filters as well.

I'm on an old 56K dial up line and can use all the help I can get.

I just loaded the Blaze homepage. Took 10 seconds which is pretty fast for my connection. I have added custom filters to Ad Block Plus to achieve this "speed."

Lately?
I use Firefox and I’ve always had problems with the Blaze website.

I just don’t go there. Tired of the lockups.

Enough hit-count reduction, and even Glenn will have to take a look...

And after he finishes crying, he will conclude that the problem is not enough auto-play videos.

I had the same problem last night using IE 11. It happened just after a pop up.

I use Waterfox. I have the Adblock Plus add-on, and when some kind of stupid ad starts somewhere on the page, I do a right-click on the mouse, and select the option to ad this to my filters.

I admit, on some websites, should I do that same action, it cancels all the information and news on that page.

WeaselZipper is one that I had to give up, because of that setup listed above.

Both the Drudge Report and The Dead Pelican, use the same website builder, and therefore, have the same ‘blocking’ malfunctions.

“The Blaze” is pop-up hell. I avoid it.

I stopped visiting when they went with the click bait headlines. Instead of telling you what the story is about, they’ll write something like, “You are not going to believe what this mother did... Click here.”

What an 8 year old did at a baseball game, that melted the hearts of a town, will leave you breathless. Get out the tissues, you will get why this went viral!!

Click on link. Kid only sang a verse from some Disney movie song and then threw up. Thanks, Glenn.

Exactly... The headlines from the blaze are written for teenagers.

This is why I love FR—no annoying pop-ups or script.

Try the NoScript add-on. Should fix the issue.

Christian Post and Townhall make my computer sound like a whirlibird trying to take off, I’ve had that some with the Blaze too. Maybe I will try IE more just for those sites though google chrome makes noise too.

I use windows but when I turn up the security of ‘ActiveX’ in Internet options the auto-run video does not play unless I specifically click ‘Turn off tracking protection’. So then no video automatically plays. Now I stumbled on this and don't really know why this works but it saves load up time on each new page...

Yep. Both the Blaze and Lucianne.com have so many pop-up ads, video ads, ads that insist that your browser is out dated and you MUST download this "free" update, that many times the computer locks up.

Any 'url' that has the word "conduit" in it, is poison to your computer.

They are like toenail fungus, it becomes a life time disease.

I have stopped going to the Blaze and have very limited contact with lucianne.

The quarterly fund raisers at FR, are a pain, but since there are no pop up ads, I don't mind a quarterly donation.

I wish Jim would put a minimum use charge for everyone, which would spread the collection basket for every body to participate in the support of FR {but that ain't gonna happen}.

I suggested moving some of FR’s features behind a subscription wall once. You would have thought I kicked a puppy. I got hit with some sob story about a lady donating the last of her money to FR as an example of why it won’t happen.

I've seen statements here that there are over 100,000 discrete visitors to FR.

If that's accurate, then a buck a month per visitor, $12 annual fee would raise $1.2 million instead of the $400 K budget that FR operates on today.

Make it $ 5 annual fee and you still have 20% more than today or maybe there aren't really that many eyeballs on FR.
