A Minnesota public high school was so committed to obeying its fire drill policy to the exact letter of the law that it forced a female student

This is how stupid liberals are. These are the same people who must have the government order their lives because they simply cannot think for themselves.
The only way they can live is if someone tells them what to do or forces them to do it. Their lives must be ordered for them like a paint-by-the-numbers picture. They simply are incapable of thinking for themselves, and this is what happens! Adults making children stand outside in the dead of winter sopping wet in a swimsuit!
I am thinking that the swimming pool would be a relatively safe place during a fire unless the smoke gets bad...
If this was a real alarm triggered by a science experiment the local Fire Department should have been on scene and could have at least provided a blanket. Are school official at that school total nincompoops and couldn’t have helped this girl? The school deserves to be sued big time and the administrators that allowed this to happen should be fired. Of course the union will defend them and nothing will happen to them.
Fire drill, so possibly a fire. What better, safer place to be than in a pool full of......water.
While I hope the school is successfully sued and the authorities who insisted that she go outside are fired, I have to wonder about the girl herself. What happened to “You people are insane. It’s below zero outside and I am soaking wet. I’m not going.”
And they are teaching out kids to think the same way.
No kidding.
What utter stupidity. Yeah, in a real fire, you want to make sure everyone gets out quickly, and yeah, you want the students to take the fire drills seriously. But did NO ONE consider the possibility there might be a fire when some kids are in P.E.? Just being in gym shorts and a t-shirt is potentially life-threatening in that kind of weather. But to put a kid out there in a wet swimsuit?!?
There is absolutely no reason the school couldn’t (and didn’t) have contingency plans in place for something like this. I’m not sue-happy, but this was inexcusable negligence.
Exactly.
She’s a dumb zombie.
It is absolutely astounding how so many school officials—all of whom hold advanced degrees—are so lacking in common sense
I worked with a bunch of liberals that were the same way. One young guy complained to me (a middle aged woman accountant)that he wasn’t able to work comfortably with his printer positioned the way it was. I didn’t say a word, just walked over to his desk and moved his printer. He was just in awe.
Schools "routinely" screw kids up.
Not only that, but once outside they couldn’t allow her to go into another building or a car because there was no policy for that.
Keep paying the administrator retards $30+ an hour.
Aftrall, they is smartrnyew, peasant...
Eva Tietz is JUST on the cusp of understanding the difference between "law" and "peasant law".
I bet the preverts (aka the teachers) liked seeing her in her swimsuit. Doesn’t they have common sense in Minnesota?
They COULD have summoned some Law "sheepdogs" to beat her unconscious for failing to identify herself...
We had that happen where I work. MN school District. Was negative something stupid cold and the science department did some kind of experiment that set the fire alarm off.
Kids outside with no jackets. Most of the Staff too...
No one was amused.
It was stupid. The 5 minutes we were outside could have easily caused frostbite at hose temps.
Wet? I would have outright refused and told them to arrest me after I’m dry and properly clothed....
Nah. Wait several years, THEN "explain" things with a burlap bag & a baseball bat...
