The Edsel. Boy I remember those. I was a little kid, and it was always 'Hey look...an Edsel'. That Grill was something else.
What's not to love.

Do you remember when Carter was President and his brother came out with “Billy Beer?” A huge flop.

Remember Zima?
A "clear beer" marketed to metrosexual yuppies and women who normally wouldn't drink beer in the first place.

Unlike the rest; the Newton showed that there WAS an enormous demand for such a product - the technology just didn’t catch up with expectations for a couple decades. (I have two Newtons.)

When Clairol, a subsidiary of P&G, released its Touch of Yogurt Shampoo in 1979, however, customers did not take to associating dairy with a hair product. The product was also confusing to some. There were a number of cases of people mistakenly eating it and getting sick as a result. Now we know who voted for Jimmy Carter.

No mention of McRibs? That has to be the WORST “food” ever served up by McDonalds. Not even real ribs. Oh, and their oatmeal breakfast has to be a close second in terms of lousy food. BTW, do they still sell those oatmeals?

Off topic, but one very successful marketing job was done on Corona beer. It used to be the Budweiser of the Caribbean 50 years ago; some genius put it in a clear bottle and added a chunk of lime and PRESTO! Yuppie beer!
