It’s TOTALLY synthetic. Trust me.
I almost put a bogus Cicero quote at the front of a book. At the last moment I decided to really check it out in depth. It was the one you have seen many times about the traitor inside the walls being worse than an external enemy etc. Totally bogus. It made me very careful about quotes. Half of the “Jefferson quotes” I see are bogus.
Jefferson is the wrong person to ever quote because the next week he said the opposite.
Never trust someone who says "Trust Me" /duck
