after a beautiful sunny and warm weekend in DC we are headed back into the vortex, supposedly, tomorrow.
and soother, just FYI, i cut and pasted that definition directly from dictionary.com, so the misspelling of “especially” is not mine. though the erroneous use of the apostrophe in the HW is mine.
Our favorite malingerer showed up to work this morning but wound up leaving before lunch on account of being “overwhelmed” with his illness.

Another sign our society is doomed. I don’t care if a person is gay, I love to vacation near Provincetown, which seems more famous for the gays than it’s incredible natural beauty, but they are celebrated for their mental disease and their need to flamboyantly show off their sexuality. That’s effed up.
interesting little fact that i found this weekend following spanish language tweets about Venezuela: The current socialist president of Venezuela is named MADURO. I kept seeing tweets referring to MABURRO, and was momentarily confused, until i figured out that much like freepers who refer to obama as ODUMBO, they had reconfigured his name to MaBURRO bc burro is obv donkey in spanish.
the whole of sports is screwed up, as is the rest of society. the richie incognito stuff seems ridic to me. the fact that I, who do not follow pro football or basketball, have heard of richie incognito and Jason collins, but hear nothing about Ray Rice who coldcocked his gf or some other guy that xshub was telling me has been arrested for rape TWICE, is ridic. actual physical crimes are nothing, but unpolitic speech calls for the death penalty, it appears.

I was sick while we had nice weather....back to winter for me. This cold had a fever, has been swelling up my sinuses, and I have fought back. My throat is beginning to feel better this morning. The body aches are easing up. I HATE being sick. I did not malinger to miss mass, I spared my church friends from this awful cold.
I like it. So human to do that.
A long time sports announcer in Dallas had a little rant when Michael Sams came out last week. Basically he supports Sams but his reasoning was that Sams had come out to his Missouri teammates and had no issues this past fall, yet people are proclaiming how he will be practically molesting his teammates in the locker room of an NFL team. Then he went on to say that pro NFL players can “drag their girlfriend down the stairs by her hair” or “kill an innocent person while driving under the influence” (Dallas cowboy players?) and we continue to cheer them during the game. Interesting point about the crap we ignore for sports.

Maybe Madburro would be a better name for him. I tried to get the spouse to take today off. He is really sick with a nasty cold but he refuses to malinger so he’s going in and will rest tomorrow on his day off. He rested all weekend but the cold got him anyway.
oh i hope you are feeling better, it is so miserable to be sick at this time of year.
xshub has said that the gay players that have come out are marginal at best, not the top players by any stretch, and will be drafted BECAUSE they are gay when they otherwise would not be high on the list.
